TL Hanna High School announced the hiring of Ashlyn Kelley as varsity cheer coach. Kelley, who is a TL Hanna alum, has served as the JV competition cheer coach for the past two seasons. This will be her first varsity head coaching position. Upon return from spring break, new information will be sent out about tryouts and a parent meeting will be scheduled for the middle of April. The tentative plan is that competition cheer tryouts will begin the week of May 4th. ...

TL Hanna competed in the 30 team ELectric City Invitational at Anderson University. The TL Hanna boys team finished 7th in the event and the girls finished 12th overall against a very tough field of competitors. On the girls side, Elle Bailey continued her stellar season with a 2nd place finish in the 100 Hurdles to finish as the highest finishing Yellow Jacket in the event. On the boys side, TL Hanna senior and defending state champion Nate Malcolm broke his own school record again with a shot put throw of 66 ft. 8.5 inches. He also turned in a second place finish in the discus for the Jackets. AJ Heaton continued his successful run of form lately with a 2nd place finish in the 110 Hurdles to help lead the boys team to that top ten team finish. ...

TL Hanna Varsity softball won 10-1 at JL Mann. Callie Kinert & Maddie Loftis were 3-4 at the plate. Emma Williams & Addison Sharp combined for the win, only allowing 3 hits & striking out 13....

TL Hanna hosted 7 other schools at a track meet on March 25th and had some outstanding results from the event. On the boys side, TL Hanna scores 169.5 points and easily outdistanced BHP (116.5), JL Mann (95), and 5 others. On the girls side, TL Hanna blew away the field with 194 points, to beat BHP (121), Greenville (101.5), and 5 others. Individually for TL Hanna: Erin Carver broke her own school record in the javelin. AJ Heaton and Elle Bailey both won their events.
