A four-run third inning led T.L. Hanna to a 7-1 victory on Tuesday. T.L. Hanna batters contributing to the big inning included Will McGregor, Ross McCurley, Luke Johnson, and Jay Dillard, who each had RBIs in the inning.
In the first inning, Woodmont got their offense started when Cody Thrasher singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the first inning, T.L. Hanna tied things up at one. T.L. Hanna scored one run when McCurley singled.
T.L. Hanna pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third McGregor tripled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, McCurley drew a walk, scoring one run, Johnson grounded out, scoring one run, and Dillard singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Johnson pitched T.L. Hanna to victory. He surrendered one run on two hits over six innings, striking out eight and walking zero.
Chase Phillips took the loss for Woodmont. He surrendered four runs on two hits over two innings, striking out one.
Johnson, McGregor, Dillard, and McCurley each collected one hit to lead T.L. Hanna. T.L. Hanna didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jack McGregor had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
