T.L. Hanna fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 2-1 loss to Fort Mill on Monday. Fort Mill scored on a single by Connor Rasmussen in the first inning and a walk by Patrick Matthews in the second inning.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Fort Mill pitchers struck out zero, while T.L. Hanna sat down three.
Fort Mill got things started in the first inning when Rasmussen singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Isaac Beirne was credited with the victory for Fort Mill. He lasted five innings, allowing five hits and one run. Keenan Sumner threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Sumner recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Fort Mill.
Jackson Bryant took the loss for T.L. Hanna. He surrendered two runs on five hits over six innings, striking out three.
Will McGregor went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead T.L. Hanna in hits.
Fort Mill was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Connor Manco made the most plays with nine.
