Girls lacrosse dropped a tough game to Mauldin last night. The Lady Jackets hung close with the Mavericks before a late surge at the end of the first half gave Mauldin a big lead. The team fought hard to come back, but couldn’t close the gap in the second half. Jocelyn Piel was the player of the game in this one for collecting a team high 5 ground balls on the night. Riley Manuel and Sydney Fritsch each scored twice for the Jackets while Natalie Rutledge and Mattison Tenry also found the net. The team will travel again on Friday for a tough divisional matchup at Woodmont as they try to avenge a 1 point loss to the Wildcats from earlier this season.
