Girls Varsity Basketball · Postseason Honors for Girls Basketball Players

TL Hanna Girls Basketball team recently wrapped up its season.  The entire team improved throughout the year and all eleven players contributed to the success of the team.   Three players were recognized with postseason awards.

Maleia Bracone, a junior, was named the Region 1-5A Player of the Year and to the SCHSL All-State Team. Maleia averaged 19 points per game this season; scoring over 25 points in six games. She scored in double digits in all twenty four games she played in. Maleia also led the region in steals with 109 total. She bypassed the 1000 point scoring mark at the beginning of the year and had her most productive season yet for the Lady Jackets.

Carmen Chandler, also a junior, was honored as a All-Region player in Region 1-5A.  Carmen averaged 8.8 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game and 2.8 steals per game.  She helped the team tremendously on both ends of the court this year after spending countless hours in the offseason improving her game. She had five double digit rebound games and had a season high 21 points in the BHP game.

Dro Lee, a freshman, was also honored as an All-Region selection. Dro averaged 9.2 points per game and 8.4 rebounds per game. Dro scored in double digits in twelve games this season. She had six double-doubles this season; including a double-double (12 pts 11 rebs) in the Jackets first round playoff win over Hillcrest.
