February 14, 2017 – Anderson School District Five is excited to announce the hiring of Jeff Herron as Head Football Coach for T.L. Hanna High School. Coach Herron is nationally recognized for his success on the football field, and at 84.6 percent he holds one of the highest winning percentages in the country. This year he led Grayson (GA) to the State AAAAAAA Championship, posting a 14-1 record and playing two featured games on ESPN.

Prior to leading Grayson, Coach Herron also led Oconee County High School (GA) to a state championship, and Camden County High School (GA) to three state championships; all in the highest classification. Included in his 287-52 overall record is a Georgia state record 58-game regular season winning streak.

Said Coach Herron, “I am excited for the opportunity to coach at T.L. Hanna High School; a school with great traditions and passionate fans.” He continued, “T.L. Hanna is a premier program in South Carolina, and I am looking forward to the amazing facilities that are offered in Anderson Five.”

Superintendent Tom Wilson stated, “Hiring someone the caliber of Coach Herron is not only a benefit for T.L. Hanna, but also the Anderson community. He continued, “I want to thank Principal Shawn Tobin and Athletic Director John Cann for their hard work in the coaching search, and want to welcome Coach Herron to the Anderson Five family.”
